The Honourable Justice Peter Hamill was sworn-in as a Judge of the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 29 April 2014. His Honour began his legal career as a clerk in the Court of Petty Sessions in 1981, completing the Barristers’ Admission Board examinations in 1986 before beginning at the Bar in 1989. His Honour was a renowned criminal barrister, working on some of the state’s most significant trials, coronial inquests and commissions of inquiry. He was a founding member of Forbes Chambers where he practised for over 25 years and took silk in 2004.
