Justice Tim Faulkner

The Honourable Justice Tim Faulkner was sworn-in as a Judge of the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 23 May 2024. His Honour graduated from the Australian National University with degrees in Economics and Law, before undertaking a Master of Laws at the University of Sydney alongside working as the associate to Justice Foster in the Federal Court of Australia. His Honour was called to the Bar in 1999 and joined 12 Wentworth Selborne Chambers where he remained until his appointment to the Supreme Court. Justice Faulkner took silk in 2014, and throughout his practice worked in many areas of the law including competition and consumer law, consumer protection, corporations' law, appeals, large-scale professional negligence and complex insurance and reinsurance cases.
