On display is a framed Acknowledgment of Dharug Country, a respectful tribute to the Dharug people, the Traditional Custodians of the land in the Western Sydney region where our corporate office is located. An Acknowledgement of Country typically includes a written acknowledgment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples enduring connection to the land, waters, and culture, and in this example, accompanied by artistic elements inspired by Dharug heritage. These framed pieces are displayed in homes, offices, or public spaces to honour the First Nation people's history, ongoing presence and care for country. Some designs may also feature indigenous language, adding a deeper cultural significance. CSI’s Girrawaa Creative Work Centre can customise Acknowledgement of Country artwork to represent and pay respect to the local community and nation where you may work or reside.
