Who are we

CSI employs around 5,000 people in custody, operates 14 business divisions over 120 commercial business units and 60+ services industries across 29 correctional centres.

We manufacture and provide a diverse range of products and services for sale to external customers as well as essential services for use within correctional centres including Agriculture, Engineering, Furniture and Upholstery, Laundry and Textiles, Modular and Demountable Buildings, Facilities Maintenance and Print and Packaging.

Managed by Trade qualified overseers, CSI business units replicate the real-world working environment that allows people in custody to participate in work programs providing opportunities to learn new skills and gain employment experience.

Our widespread industry facilities and job ready workforce means that we have robust contingency plans in place for the fulfilment of orders. While our warehousing and logistics services can facilitate long and short-term storage solutions, as well as deliveries across NSW and interstate.

Education and training

As inmates approach release, they are linked with service providers with the aim of developing a reintegration plan, a formal handover to successful community re-entry. CSI and AEVTI will in partnership host and facilitate much of this activity whilst project partnerships monitor and report key performance measures.
